Thrilled that my very first publication as a first author is out, and open access! This article is based on my undergraduate thesis research done at National University of Singapore back in 2019/2020, under the supervision of the wonderful Dr. Iliana Magiati.

In 2021, I was part of a team of researchers from the Singapore Children’s Society and Yale-NUS College who conducted a large-scale study on parental discipline in Singapore. We conducted online surveys and semi-structured interviews with parents and young adults and asked them about the discipline methods they used/experienced, focusing on physical discipline. The study report is now available here. You can also find the academic publications and preprints based on this study here.

My very first publication is out! This article stems from a wonderful opportunity I had to work with the inimitable Dr. Cheung Hoi Shan on reviewing the parenting literature in Singapore.
